Skiing and Snowboarding on Mt Hood
The Snow season in the Oregon Cascade Mountains usually starts shortly after Thanksgiving and extends until April. Mount Hood offers several great ski areas.
Mt Hood Meadows
The largest and my favorite is Mt Hood Meadows which is about 25 minutes away (directions) from the cabin.
Timberline
Timberline is the second largest and has a beautiful historic lodge in addition to having the only year round skiing in the US. You can ski on Palmer Glacier all summer long. Timberline is also about 25 minutes (directions) from the cabin.
Ski Bowl
Ski Bowl is also interesting because it has a huge amount of night Skiing terrain and also it is the closest to the cabin at 11 minutes away. Here is a map.
